EA hat fast 3 Jahre nach dem letzten Update für Battlefield 2142 den Patch 1.51 für das Spiel offiziell veröffentlicht. Neben Bugfixes installiert der Patch auch die neuen Maps Operation Blue Pearl, Yellow Knife, Molokai und Strike at Karkand 2142. Außerdem ist das Boosterpack Northern Strike kostenlos im Patch enthalten und ab sofort keine DVD-Prüfung beim Spielstart mehr notwendig. Der Patch erfordert ein mit Patch 1.50 aktualisiertes Spiel!
Das Update wurde bereits am 09.02.2011 veröffentlicht wegen einer fehlerhaften MD5-Summe aber kurze Zeit Später wieder aus dem Netz genommen.
